Carleton University hosted the 61st annual meeting of the Canadian Botanical Association (CBA-ABC) returning the conference to the site of its first meeting in 1965. About 150 delegates from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom attended the conference. The program featured scientific symposia, poster session, two public lectures, a botanical art exhibit, field trips, and herbarium tours. The conference theme, Supporting Diversity in all its Forms, was reflected through plenary lectures, symposia, and panel discussions focused on biodiversity as well as equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibilty in the plant sciences.

We had a fantastic time connecting with colleagues and learning about new developments in plant science. The beatiful logo below (left) was designed by Carleton University graduate students Grace Gardner and Matthew Coffey. And congradulations to our very own Catherine Fiset (right) who won first place in the poster competition for her work on stem development!
