A Trip to China!

Dr. Hepworth and Dr. Rowland pose with graduating students from Lanzhou University in Gansu Province, China. Dr. Sou-min Wang and his students study the physiology of desert halophytes to learn how these amazing plants survive drought and salt stress. The genes they discover are being used to breed more resilient forage crops like alfalfa for use on marginal farmlands in northwest China. Thanks for a great visit!
